Book covers give us some of our best opportunities for creativity and experimentation.
They say you can’t judge a book by its cover, but a cover can go a long way towards expressing the themes and subject matter of a book. We have always enjoyed the unique opportunity to visually represent those ideas through cover design. Publishers and authors often provide us with the book title and a synopsis and then invite us come up with our interpretation. Selecting images and styles to reflect the subject matter and tone of a book is a creative and rewarding process.
Cover design is as important as ever in the digital age.
To print or not to print? That is the new question. Large bookstores with a physical address seem to have become an endangered species and readers are turning more and more to eBooks for convenience and to save on shipping charges. But even if your words never find their way to a printed page, an effective cover is still important for attracting readers. Just let us know if you need an eBook version of your cover. We can provide files in formats commonly used by eBook retailers. On the shelf or on the web, we will make sure your title stands out from the crowd.
